Red Cobra and Blue Cobra

Here are the 2 aforementioned watercolours. All three paintings can be seen at the Carroll Shelby exhibit at the Canadian International Auto Show starting this Friday February 12, 2010.

Cobra in Blue

Left Ferrari for a week or so (yes, i know... the world kept spinning and the space-time continuum didnt implode) in order to tackle 2 or 3 Cobra paintings. One major piece (see above) and 2 smaller watercolours. I have been approached to supply some artwork for the Canadian International Auto Show - part of a presentation for Carrol Shelby. Hence... the Cobra paintings.
This one is a 36x36 oil on canvas in a very painterly style, the car done mostly with a pallet knife. Similar to a P4 painting i did a couple years ago. Exciting style to do, as it forces you to concentrate on the major forms of the subject... distilling it down to its most recognizable features and shapes.
